How to set up your Umpire Center Account

Setting up your Umpire Center account involves 3 steps:

  1. Registration
  2. Setting your preferences
  3. Setting your availability

Please follow these instructions as soon as possible in order to be assigned games.

1. Registration

You must register with Umpire Center. To register, do the following steps:

  1. Visit www.umpirecenter.com
  2. Look for the "Register" button on the homepage and click on it. You will be asked to enter the activation code.
  3. After submitting the activation code, you will be taken to the registration page. Select your name from the drop-down box listing umpires. Take care to ensure that you register under your own name.
  4. Complete the registration page and click the submit button to finalize your registration.
  5. After completing your registration you will be shown a Umpire Center intsructional page to help get you started on Umpire Center. When you have read the instructions, click on the "Continue" button at the bottom of the help page.
  6. After the instruction page, you will be taken to the main, Umpire Center application homepage. To return to the Umpire Center instruction page, click the help (?) link in the top right of the homepage.

You are now registered. However, you still must set up your preferences before you can receive game assignments.

2. Setting your Preferences

You will be required to set up your preferences for diamonds and divisions. Use the following steps to do this.

  1. Click on the "Preference" button and select "Diamonds". Select the diamonds that you want to officiate at and click on the "Submit" button to save the choices. Note that the more diamonds you select, the greater your chances are of receiving a game appointment.
  2. Now move to Preferences > Divisions and check the divisions that you want to officiate in. Again, the more divisions you select the greater your chance of getting an assignment. Click on the "Submit" button to save your choices.

3. Setting up your Availability

Please follow these instructions accurately. If you do not, you will not receive any game offers from Umpire Center.

  1. Put your cursor on the "Games" menu item at the top of the page, and select the "Availability" option.
  2. The calendar for the current month will appear. Check off the days that you wish to be available for that month.

    If you leave the day unchecked, Umpire Center will not offer you any games on that day.

    Important: make sure that you click on the "Update" button to save your changes.

  3. Now change the month to the next month in the season and set up your choices for that month. Again, click the "Update" button to save your settings for that month. Continue this for as many months of the season as you can.

If you have followed these instructions, you will be set up to start receiving game offers.
